News from the 2013 AGM

Last night’s AGM was very well attended. There was a lot of positively constructive discussions on a variety of topics.

The new committee was elected and we welcome David Keane as Chairman, Clare Fitzsimons and Marguerite McSweeney as new committee members. They will be joining Jane Whitaker (Secretary), Sinead Nolan (Treasurer), Michael Moore (entries) and Bernie Foley who were re-elected.

The committee are interested in hearing from the members at all times so please feel free to contact us by email at any stage with any inquiries / queries / suggestions that you may have.

There are some exiting new proposals for 2014 including two additional shows to our schedule which will be held in Coil Óg. These two shows along with the dates already booked in our regular venue, Killossery, bring the total number of shows for Leinster to eleven. We are currently working on bringing in UK judges during the course of our Winter and Summer leagues - watch this space for updates.

We would welcome offers of help on show days - we are very aware that people are often under time pressure but, if you have any time to spare at any stage before heading home, collecting sheets, bringing refreshments to our judges, doing a bit of call up or scoring, even for a short time is greatly appreciated by the show organisers - so don’t be shy!

We look forward to your support for our shows in 2014 and wish all Leinster members and indeed all Dressage Ireland members all the best for the coming year.
