Leinster Dressage Training Programmes

As a result of the support and help we have received from you, our Members, at our shows, and the success of the Judy Reynolds Masterclass, Leinster Dressage are excited to announce our most extensive training programme to date, open to all our Members. All Leinster Dressage training is subsidised and organised by a voluntary committee, who also run numerous shows throughout the year.

In signing up to the training, we would greatly appreciate if you could, in turn, help out at our Leinster shows for a minimum of two half days, which will be a great help to the already stretched committee. Please nominate the two shows you can help at when you apply for training.

1. High Performance and Developing High Performance Training

We are delighted to have Irish International Riders and Coaches Judy Reynolds and Roland Tong on board this year to deliver a number of regular 2-day clinics. High performance riders at Prix St. Georges and above, and developing high performance riders from Medium level up to and including Advanced level will be contacted directly as Coaches supply us with dates based on their availability. In the event that a clinic is not completely full, a wild card may be given to riders performing well at Elementary level.

2. Riders from Preliminary to Medium Level

Leinster Dressage are delighted to have secured the following subsidised training dates with renowned HSI Level 3 Coaches Heike Holstein and Maureen Dwyer. Clinics will be held as follows:

We would welcome and encourage all new and existing members of Leinster Dressage to apply for all four clinic dates with these Coaches. This is a fantastic opportunity to receive subsidised training over an intensive period in order to maximise improvements in your riding and in the competition arena. Lessons are subsidised by Leinster Dressage and the cost is €100 for all four dates inclusive. Please apply directly to . Apply early to avail of this exciting opportunity, this initiative will be repeated in June, July and August to facilitate riders who are unable to avail of training at this time.

3. Test Riding

Leinster Dressage are pleased to have secured UK List 1 Dressage Judge and Trainer, Mark Ruddock, for subsidised training. These clinics will be specifically geared towards improving your test riding, so watch this space for further details and dates to follow.

4. Youth Development

Leinster Dressage are excited to launch Youth Development Training with HSI Level 3 Coach, Maureen Dwyer. These clinics will be an opportunity for our younger members to come together as a group to learn, socialise and get to know one another. Dates are as follows:

June 10th (private lessons)

July 7th (private lessons)

Talk on the Scales of Training, show preparation, Q+A

Demo by Irish International Rider Kate Dwyer on how she trains her young horses, as she rides and demonstrates the importance of basic flatwork in their daily training.
